Entertainment News Recap – Michelle Obama, Eddie Murphy, and an update on the Wades!

Kudos are in order to First lady Michelle Obama and the Childhood Obesity Task Force. They recently announced their action plan in keeping with her Lets Move! initiative. The plan seeks to address the social reasons why kids are unhealthy and overweight, and the stigma behind it.

The divorce saga between Dwayne Wade and wife Siouhvaughn is really heating up…If you remember last week Siouhvaughn sued Wade’s girlfriend and actress Gabrielle Union for $50,000. Well this week Siohvaughn was taken into custody after failing to show up for her divorce hearing. She was released shortly after posting $10,000 bail. The judge issued the warrant Monday, saying she was tired of what she called a pattern of behavior and suggested she may order custody be given to Dwayne.
And now as if all that weren’t enough, Siouhvaughn is suing Dwayne accusing him of subjecting her and their two sons of years of physical and emotional abuse.
Wooh now that was a mouthful!

And here’s a good update, the New York Daily News is reporting that Eddie Murphy has made steps towards seeing his daughter with singer Melanie Brown. Initially Murphy denied he was the dad and even when it was confirmed he wanted nothing to do with the child. But sources tell the New York Daily News that Murphy hosted a bash at his L.A. home last week and invited the former Spice Girl and her husband and is now making steps towards being in his 3 year old daughter Angel’s life. A year ago Cambridge University discovered that Facebook, along with other major social networks, doesn’t erase server side copies of your uploaded data. What this means for you and I…it means anything we upload…photos and videos, not only do you sign away your rights but Facebook has the ability to pass it on to their content partners. Facebook has now doubled in size and are covered because their privacy policy (that we all agreed to) covers their butts. The privacy debate quietly starting kicking up a while back but is now starting to heat up and even more so in the coming months. It’s a harsh reality for everyone to be extremely cautious about what you share on Facebook and on the Internet in general. Once something goes on Facebook, its there forever unless their privacy policy gets changed.
