Angie Martinez interview with Chris Brown
Yesterday Chris Brown was interviewed by Angie Martinez of Hot 97. This was one of his first interviews since his much talked about interview with Larry King (CNN). Chris admitted to Angie that he was really scared and nervous in the interview with Larry and had to watch what he said because of the scrutiny he has faced. He admitted that he personally didn’t want to do the Larry King interview, but obviously was advised to do so by lawyers, managers, etc.
“The people that are going to hold it over me, are going to hold it over me. The people that don’t realize I’m human.”
Chris confirmed that while he doesn’t want to talk about the Rihanna incident anymore, the gist of what happened will be in the music from his upcoming album Graffitti. He went on to say that he feels like an underdog because he had to prove himself in the beginning and he will have to do it again.
Angie premiered a new song during the show entitled Crawl, in the hook Chris sings:
If we crawl
Til we can walk again
Then we’ll run
Until we’re strong enough to jump
Then we’ll fly
Until there is no end
So lets crawl crawl crawl
Back to love

Chris on dating:
I’m taking my time. I’m not saying I won’t. I’m back to square one.
Chris on whether he thinks people should forgive him:
Not at all. I don’t expect people to up and jump we love you.
He further elaborated by saying:
If you take the time out of your day focusing on hating me, you’re doing the same thing as loving me.
On what he’s doing to make amends:
I’m doing a lot of things with domestic violence centers.
What he feels about Twitter:
Everybody tells me to stay off Twitter.
On his fans:
I won’t let you down no more.
